Thank you for your interest in volunteering at CPCD. Volunteers allow CPCD to extend the services staff members are able to provide. A wide variety of opportunities exist for those interested in helping children and families in our community. Opportunities exist for almost every interest and if you, or your business or organization, have specific areas of expertise or interest, please let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.
Getting Started
Contact CPCD’s Coordinator of Volunteers at (719) 635-1536, ext. 276 or e-mail duvalle@cpcd.org to indicate your interest in volunteering then follow the steps below.
1. Fill out an application.
2. Meet with the Coordinator of Volunteers. This meeting will allow the Coordinator of Volunteers to gather information about the potential volunteer’s skills, interests, talents, work and volunteer experience, and appropriateness to fill available volunteer positions. At the same time volunteers will learn about CPCD’s mission, programs, and available volunteer positions, allowing potential volunteers to decide whether or not CPCD’s volunteer program and available volunteer positions meet their individual needs.
3. Attend an orientation. Orientations are scheduled twice monthly and are one hour in length. The orientation gives volunteers more information about Community Partnership for Child Development and its programs, as well as prepares the volunteer for their volunteer position.
4. Volunteer! Join the CPCD staff and make a lasting impact in the life of child, a family and our community.
