Invest Now

Donate Online!CPCD depends on this community's generosity to enhance and expand the early childhood development and family services that we provide for children and families in El Paso County.

To donate on-line using a credit or debit card, click the "Donate Now" link to the left. Cash and checks can be mailed to 2330 Robinson Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80904. Have other ideas? Call Christine Lyle at (719) 635-1536, ext. 277.

An investment in CPCD is an investment in your community. Sharing your resources now yields $7 to $17* in future benefits for every $1 contributed.

*According to studies conducted by High/Scope Educational Research Foundation.

Donors to CPCD benefit from Colorado Child Care Contribution Credit.

The State of Colorado offers a 50% income tax credit for donations to child care centers. As a leader in early childcare and education, CPCD donors are eligible to receive the maximum 50% tax credit.

What does that mean? This means that your individual or corporate contribution to CPCD has a direct impact on the lives of of over 1,600 families AND it has the additional benefit of reducing your Colorado tax liability.

Here's how that works for a donation of $1,000 from someone in the 28% tax bracket:

A. Charitable Donation $1,000
B. Colorado State Income Tax Savings (4.63%) $46
C. Colorado Child Care Tax Credit $500
D. Federal Income Tax Charitable Deduction * $127
E. Tax Savings (B + C + D) $673
F. After-tax cost of your $1,000 contribution (A-E) $327
* Federal tax deduction is reduced because of the add-back effect of reduced state taxes

At the end of the year, CPCD will mail you a completed tax form indicating the amount of your gift and the State Department of Revenue's Form DR 1317. These items should be given to your tax preparer.  For additional information please contact your tax consultant.

The first years of Jaime’s life have been filled with a mix of sadness and tears and hope and joy. Although earlier symptoms were present, Jaime, who is legally blind, was officially diagnosed with cerebral palsy, a chronic condition that affects body movements and muscle coordination, in December 2003. As a baby, Jaime’s doctors said he would never walk, talk, or crawl. He wouldn’t live more than 12 months. More
