Colorado Springs, Colo. – March 10, 2010 – Community Partnership for Child Development announced that it has received a $35,000 Daniels Fund grant to support family services for the Colorado Preschool Program.
The Colorado Preschool Program is offered to children three to five years of age. Families of these children receive education and support to assist them in fulfilling their role as their children’s first and best teacher. CPCD currently serves 554 children and families in the Colorado Preschool Program.
“Through classes and homes visits focusing on parenting skills, the grant will help provide children with safe, nurturing and learning-rich home environments,” said CPCD CEO Noreen Landis-Tyson. “This will help foster success in school and in their lives beyond formal education.”
Bill Daniels, a pioneer in cable television known for his kindness and generosity to those in need, established the Daniels Fund to provide grants and scholarships in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming. For more information, please visit www.danielsfund.org.
