"do what you love - love what you do."
has been at CPCD since ____ and is currently the Coordinator of Volunteers.
Charlotte is a native of Belize and has a bachelor’s degree from Cameron University in Sociology, a Master’s Degree in Non-Profit Management and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Human Services. It was after graduation that she returned to her country to give back to humanitarian efforts where she worked with UNICEF and the National Commission for Families and Children in writing a consultancy for “The Social Impact of Hurricane Keith on Children and Families”. Once she returned to the United States she continued her role as a military spouse and joined CPCD...giving children a head start.
During her fifteen-year tenure in the non-profit industry, Charlotte has fed her insatiable interest in family advocacy and working with immigrant and military families. Her dedication to military families is reflected in the the awards she has received, including the Army Outstanding Civilian Service Award, the Molly Pitcher Award, the Yellow Rose of Texas Award and numerous others for her voluntary service on Fort Carson in Colorado Springs. She also received the National Head Start Association Staff of the Year Award.
Charlotte loves to dance and travel and believes that “one hand washes the other”. This is a motto that she instills in her three children Nichella (22), Alexia (21) and Mario (19) together with her husband CSM David Nal.
